How do I play?

Pinch your thumb and index finger together to flap — anywhere, with either hand. Fly through the openings between the bamboo stalks, and don't touch the ground. That's the whole game. Mastering it is another story.

Pinching isn't being detected reliably

Foldwing uses Apple's hand tracking, which works best when your hands are in front of you and visible to the headset. If you previously declined the hand-tracking permission, you can re-enable it in Settings › Privacy & Security › Hand Tracking. Without it, the game still works — look toward the course and pinch.

When does the Daily Challenge reset?

At midnight UTC, for everyone in the world at the same moment — that's what makes it one shared course per day. You get three attempts; your best one counts, and playing on consecutive days builds your streak.

How do I switch between the Bamboo Grove and my room?

Menu › Settings › Environment. Bamboo Grove replaces your surroundings with the full world; My Room keeps passthrough so the course floats in your space. Grove themes you own are selectable there too, and apply on your next flight.

How do I unlock the other birds?

By flying. Every gate you clear counts toward your lifetime rank — Hatchling, Fledgling, Flier, Soarer, Phoenix, and Legend of the Grove — and each rank unlocks a bird. None of them are for sale, and none of them change how the game plays. They're trophies.

I bought a Grove theme and it's not showing up

Menu › Settings › Restore Purchases. If it still doesn't appear, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that bought it, then email us below.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides these — we don't have the ability to issue refunds directly.
